Join us to expand your coaching skills in an interactive session on the Science Behind Goals and Habit Formation
Goals, habit formation and behavior change are at the heart of coaching. In this session you’ll learn the science behind establishing habits that enable behavior change, and how those practices can strengthen you as a coach. This event is ideal for all practice areas of coaching and will explore the underlying science of habit formation to help inform your coaching strategies and tactics.
It has been shown that regularly practiced behaviors become habits, no longer requiring us to continue thinking about doing them. In order to create desired habits and attain goals, we must remove obstacles and temptations in the environment that inhibit desired behaviors. When we reward behaviors, we insure they will be repeated. This reinforcement can be either extrinsic with things like public praise and recognition or intrinsic with a boost to self-esteem.
Understanding the routines that best help you to excel and how to acknowledge them sets you up for success in the impactful work that you do.
